Centre of Excellence in Accounting and Reporting for Co‑operatives (CEARC)
CEARC is a hub for academic and applied research on the performance of co-operatives, credit unions and mutuals. The Centre works with co-operatives, accounting practitioners, public accountants and academics to accurately reflect and communicate, through accounting and reporting, the unique and important roles co-operatives play in our society and economy.
CEARC has international reach, with a respected global voice in the development and interpretation of accounting policies and standards that recognizes the distinct co-operative and credit union form of business, and contributes to excellent co-operative business practice.
CEARC conducts an array of applied research, academic research and policy development projects. In addition, the Centre publishes a journal that is focused on practitioner and academic research.
