Age: Sandstone – Cambrian to Ordovician; Granite - Devonian
Geological Unit(s): Sandstone – Goldenville Group; Granite – South Mountain Batholith
Description: This rock displays the contact between the older sandstone of the Goldenville Group and the younger granite of the South Mountain Batholith. The contact displayed here is very sharp and straight, which is rather uncommon along contacts such as this.
