Administrative Units Safety Sub-committee

The Administration Units OH&S Sub-committee is one of two University safety sub-committees who collaborate with the Saint Mary’s University Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee to monitor the University’s compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as foster cooperation between employees and management to achieve and maintain a safe working environment.

The Committee is broadly representative of administrative departments, and includes individuals with both supervisory or administrative responsibilities, as well as other department employees.  The HR Officer, (OHS & Wellness) and the Senior Director, Facilities Management or designate will act as advisory members on the sub-committee.  The HR Officer, (OHS & Wellness) and the Senior Director, Facilities Management or designate will provide leadership and direction, as required and ensure that open channels of communication are maintained between the sub-committee and the Joint Occupational Health and Safety Committee.
