System Outage - Papercut Software upgrades - Nov 12th 8:30am-12pm
During this upgrade window, the functionality and availability of campus printing will be affected.
System Outage - Scheduled Maintenance November 9th, 2024 8am to 2pm
During this maintenance window, the functionality and availability of the following systems may be affected:
AppsAnywhere, BOE, Printing, File Shares, Authentication systems, Activate, Wired connectivity, and other network-connected services.
EIT is performing system maintenance of the VPN from 7am to 8am on October 31.
VPN users may be disconnected during this time - simply reconnect to continue.
Microsoft Outlook is currently exhibiting performance issues with the Outlook client. Some users may notice Outlook using and increased amount of system resources, causing the client to freeze or crash. As of 1 pm ADT , Microsoft is working to resolve the issue.

UPDATE: Microsoft believes all issues have been resolved. Clients must restart their Outlook client to apply the required changes. Outlook web users should refresh their sessions. If that does not resolve the issue web uses clear their browser cache and refresh their Outlook on the web session.

During this maintenance window, the functionality and availability of the following systems may be affected:
AppsAnywhere, BOE, Printing, File Shares, Authentication systems, Activate, Wired connectivity, and other network-connected services.
EIT will be performing scheduled system maintenance on the morning of July 15, 2024. The following systems may be temporarily unavailable during this time.
SmuPort, faculty personal web sites on smu-facweb, accessing job submission reports on banshares, vendor file transfers including transcripts at OUAC and NS province and logging into SparkPost.
No direct changes to applications will be made during system updating.

SmuPort, Listserv, faculty personal web sites on smu-facweb, accessing links, such as brightspace from within your smuport login, accessing job submission reports on banshares, vendor file transfers including transcripts at OUAC and NS province and logging into SparkPost,.
No direct changes to applications will be made during system updating.
Campus printing services will be interrupted during the Papercut software upgrade scheduled on March 14th, 8:30am-12pm.

Brightspace is unavailable at this time and it is not accepting logins.
EIT is currently working on the solution and will have it working as soon as they can.
UPDATE: Brightspace issue has now been resolved and Brightspace is now allowing you to login.
Please be advised that EIT will be performing an update to our certificates for our Banner System early on Monday, Dec 4th. At that time, logging onto the system maybe disrupted. Banner will be accessible again on or before 8:30AM Monday Dec 4th.
