Community & Involvement

The Chaplaincy is more than a place of prayer—it’s a hub for meaningful connection and student leadership. Whether you're looking to volunteer, gain work experience, or meet others through faith-based communities, there are many ways to get involved in Chaplaincy life.

Support Chaplaincy events, assist in the lounge, or help with seasonal programming. Volunteering is a great way to meet others and contribute to a welcoming campus community.

Paid student positions are occasionally available to assist with Chaplaincy operations and event support. Positions will be posted here when they become available.

Hiring Period: Typically posted in late summer or early fall

Connect with peers who share your values or spiritual interests by joining a student-led faith-based society.

Examples include:

  • SMU Catholic Society
  • Muslim Students’ Association
  • SMU Christian Fellowship
